Tigris was retired from her competing days with me and I turned over the reins to long time friend and client, Mary Houghton. Mary also received her Silver Medal and was one score short of getting her Gold at the time of Tigris's passing. I cherish her more now as I look back at how much she taught me. I was so busy absorbing it in, I forgot to enjoy it. I love this mare and hope to one day be reunited again with her. For I am sure if there is a horsey heaven, Ti is there running among all of the other horses that we love and cherish so very much.
Tigris took me to two National Junior Young Riders. In fact, in 1997 we were the first Gold medal team in the competitions first year of running. We placed 3rd Individually and I was the youngest rider by two years, being only fourteen. In 1998, we received the Team Silver and placed 4th in individual standings. This bay mare, only 15'1 hands tall, partnered with me to the Grand Prix Level when I was 15. With only two years of FEI under my belt, Ti and I won Region 6 USDF/ABIC & Northwest I-2 and Grand Prix two years in a row. Our averages were 67% at I-2 & 65% at Grand Prix. Our scores were high enough to be in the Top Ten I-2 and Top 15 Grand Prix for the USDF Horse of the Year standings. The first two times out at Grand Prix, we obtained the scores needed to receive my USDF Gold Medal. This little mare helped me obtain my first "9"s, all at he Grand Prix level under several different judges. Her pirouettes, piaffe, and passage were better then average for any horse, not just a Quarter Horse. This special mare acquainted me with some of the most influential instructors of my riding career, including Conrad Schumacher, who found Ti to be much more then a school master, but a horse that was making me into a true competitor. Thank You Ti!
Tigris was my first FEI horse. I received my USDF Bronze,Silver and Gold medals on this remarkable Quarter Horse mare. I was twelve years old when my parents purchased "Ti" for me. She was already schooling the FEI work, but we started out at Training Level. When we progressed to First & Second Level, poor Tigris allowed me balance on the reins to find my seat and learn to sit the trot. She was always honest and never wrong. Ti quickly schooled me up to her level of training. I rode my first FEI test at the age of fourteen, receiving a 62% from the late Trip Harting. I rode the test Hol Concour due to the fact that I had not ridden with spurs yet.

The first time I set eyes on Intrepid, he was out in a pasture and had a mane that hung a foot long and a tail that drug on the ground. I made an agreement with his previous owner, who had gotten out of horses, that I would take him for a two week trial. From there, our story begins. Intrepid maintained an average of 70.95% at Prix St. Georges. This average was maintained consistently the three years (2002-2004) we showed on the Region 6 Young Rider team. Intrepid and I were the number one horse/rider for Region 6 all three years we participated coming into NAYRC (North American Young Rider Championships). In 2002, Intrepid and I won the Individual Bronze Medal at NAYRC, along with the Team Bronze. Intrepid received three "9's" at this National event on his extended trot. All three from separate "O" Judges. Way to go Treppy!
After Young Riders, Treppy and I moved on to the I-1 level. Although, challenges followed our consistent success. Moving to the Grand Prix did not come without its struggles...or opinions. With our scores being really high and then being eliminated for Intrepid's class clown acts, it was time for us to go back to school. With a year in constant training with our mentor, Roxanne Christenson, we re-emerged into the show ring with success. In 2008, Intrepid and I qualified and competed with the Olympic Qualifiers in San Juan Capistrano, CA. We placed third, which was an over achieved goal. To end the 2008 show season, we were the ABIC and Northwest Grand Prix Champions for Region 6. In 2009, we were Region 6 Champion Grand Prix Freestyle and Reserve Champion Grand Prix. Starting in 2010, Intrepid will be leased and shown by Jesika and continue his show career in the JR/YY division.

The first time I ever saw Quickie, I thought he would make an excellent Dressage horse! Owner's and good friends Kyle and Heidi Kellem, owned the barn that I was training out of. They had purchased him to be their next western mount, but they were wrong. I saw Quickie daily in his stall and he was always so friendly. I was very smitten with this chromed stallion. Since I was already riding Khemo Khadet, their other stallion, they were familiar with my riding. When it came time for Quickie to be broke, they asked me. I knew then that he would not be a western prospect anymore! They told me they wanted him to have a good start with dressage basics, and it blossomed from there.
When I sat on Quickie, it was like he was already trained. We were off the lunge line within 15 minutes the first time I mounted him doing walk, trot, and canter. He made his horse show debut 30 days later at Sport Horse Nationals and came in third. He is always a good boy and is the kindest horse I have in my training program. My three year old daughter, Reece, rides him and can lead him around. He lowers his head so she can hug him and feed him treats. Quickie is truly not aware that he is a breeding stallion and I love him for his gentleness. He is also a true ambassador for the Arabian breed and has been praised by some of the best horsemen. One of which was Conrad Schumacher, who said all of his gaits were "spectacular". This young stallion is going to be a 'rising star' in the open Dressage show circuit and already is a Unanimous National Champion in the Arabian world. This is the type of horse that makes you want to go to work everyday. He is my little 'boyfriend' and I absolutely adore him.

Avalon was purchased for me in 2001. He was a real project from the start. My mom and I fell in love with him watching his sale video we received from the late Carol Plough. He was in a field when we looked at him, but he met all of our standards. He was also so pretty to top it off! With his pure white coat, my daughter calls him a unicorn! Our first year out at the Junior level (4th), we qualified to show back east in Gladstone, along with the Festival of Champions. Even though I showed Avalon through the PSG level, he unfortunately had a hard time staying physically sound with the high demands of the FEI work. He now is a lesson horse at our facility and maintains his round physic and thick white tail! Avalon is a character and is loved by the whole Anderson family. He will be adored by us for the rest of his days.
Gaby was brought to me to be in training in 2003. She had been bred and raised at the late Fox Ridge Farm and owner Kaylene Brown wanted her to be completed. This mare is the most difficult that I have ridden. To say she is hot and sensitive is an understatement. She is also very beautiful and talented. When it came to the point that Kaylene wanted to sell her, my parents and sister Beth partnered up to purchase her as a Dressage horse. Beth and Gaby have been on a successful rise and I look forward to watching them compete. My sister rides her so beautifully, and I am so proud of them both!
Pia is owned by Laureen Wilkerson and is ridden by her daughter, Cristy. Pia is a imported Dutch mare. She is trained through the PSG level with Laureen and Cristy, and under the training & instruction of myself. Go Cristy and Pia!
Kheno was brought to me for training by his owner, Raeven Sampson. He had been a western horse and really was looking for job to keep him busy. Kheno was the first stallion I had in training, right out high school. In fact, he was one of the first horses in my training career. We were Region 5 Reserve Champion at Training Level and he was shown in my program through 3rd Level. He had a beautiful head and a comical disposition. He was very smart and would remember everything he was taught, not liking to make any mistakes. Kheno is now retired to being a breeding stallion, what a life indeed!
Tesar is a imported Dutch mare owned by long time client Melissa Zanieb. She is ridden by her mom and was Champion of her Dutch inspection! Way to go Tesar. In foal to Quick Silver Bey for 2010. We can't wait!

Rudy is owned by Lyn Anderson and Megann (Anderson) Prater. Rudy was bought as Megann's Hunter Equitation horse and was a successful Eq. Medal horse on the East coast. Imported as a hunter in his early years, he was put on pasture rest due to arthritis. Rudy then proved to have a second wind after five years of retirement. He proved this to us by exercising all the young horses in the field and terrorizing the brood mares! So, I brought him back into work in Nov. of 2008 at the "youthful" age of 23. Rudy has never taken a lame step and loves all the new-found attention and is teaching several people the basics of Dressage. In 2009, Rudy has been in the top three placing's with Cameron Amos aboard and received High Point JR/YR both days at the Summervale Dressage Show in August. Rudy is one of the most valuable horses in my program and I am so fortunate to have him.

Khadet is a super star! Being a retired Regional Western Champion, Dressage was something that I knew would come easy to him. Since then, he has won everything going up the levels and is the quickest study I have ever ridden! He loves to work and I always tell people that he is my little war horse! Khadet started his Dressage training in 2004 and has competed Training Level to Intermediare 1. Although he is schooled through most of the Grand Prix, his owner Heidi Kellem used him to teach her a few things about the Dressage ring. Khadet was officially retired after his 2008 show season.
Khadet is a horse that I will be forever grateful to have had in my training program. He works everyday for his rider, 100%. Khadet is now a 10 time AHA Regional Champion with wins in Training Level, Second Level, Fourth Level, Prix St. Georges & Show Hack . He is also a USDF Region 6 Champion in Freestyle I-1 and Reserve Champion I-1, 3 time Sport Horse Reserve National Champion, and of course what started him being a Champion, two time Western Pleasure AAOTR Champion.

Khydd is the ultimate Half Arabian and really rises to every expectation that comes his way. In 2008, with 15 rides under saddle, he competed at Region 4 Sport Horse Championships and was a star. At only four years old, he placed first out of 16 horses in his first training level class, with a 67%! With moves like his dad Khadet, he really has no limitations. I cant wait to see him pack around Miss Avery Layne!

'Kisses' is owned by Shark Sport Horses. She is a 2007 Half Arabian Buckskin Pinto Filly. Beautiful mare with tons of talent. Ready to start. Currently offered for sale.

I am proud to announce that long time friends Kyle and Heidi Kellem and I have collaborated on the ownership on Quickie! I am very excited that this has occurred, especially since Quickie is my next FEI horse. I love this horse and know that this an opportunity that will keep on giving. This choice was not only an emotional decision, but a wise one as well. I love his diversity and alertness to the work. I can't wait to see what the future holds for us and I am proud to be a half partner in Team QSB.

Elliot is an 2001 Swedish warmblood gelding. Elliot is one of our "Four Sisters Farm" home bred ponies. He is a very special horse to me. Elliot is one of the first horses I broke myself and he was put on pasture rest when I was pregnant with my daughter, Reece. He is a little bit of a spoiled "only" child, but I love him for it and have to admit, I am a little guilty for creating it! He is quite the little talent and will make his show debut in 2010.

Here is a legend...well in the making before I had the blessing to be a part of his career, affectionately called "Rolo". Rolo is a 10 time National Champion or Reserve National Champion in Western, Hunter, Trail & Dressage. Rolo's owner, Carrie Olson, has owned him since he was three years old. She has been apart of all his successes from the beginning, what an accomplishment! Rolo has showed competitively through 2nd level and has been Scottsdale Champion. This is one of the biggest honors for Arabian competitors, way to go Rolo. Carrie audited the Conrad Schumacher Symposium and saw me ride Intrepid and Quickie and we met after the closing performance there. Ever since then, she has been a wonderful addition to Lindsey Anderson Dressage and we adore her as much as Mr.Rolo. We look forward to seeing what the future holds, as we are in the process of finding a new mount for her!
Cindy is a 1993 Imported Palomino Wesphalian Riding pony with a lot of "chrome". She is like riding in a fancy little "sports car". Rosie, proud mom and owner of my training facility, is a dedicated student and one of my first. At eighteen years of age, I found Cindy and the below pony, Costa for Rosie. This pony is very special and puts in her best effort, everyday. Cindy is schooling all the I-1 movements, but the goal will be showing with Rosie aboard at 4th and PSG in 2010.
|
|
Costa is a 1995 Imported bay Hanoverian. Costa is a sweetie and is made to trot! He is like the puppy dog in the barn, and we love him for it. It is not uncommon for both ponies to announce that Rosie has arrived at the barn by "whinnying" with joy! Costa is schooling all the PSG movements and the goal is for Rosie to show him 3rd and 4th in 2010.

Natalie Perry is a very talented rider and trainer. She worked as my assistant from 2003 and 2004 in which time and we helped obtain her goal of going to NAYRC. I want to wish her all the best as she steps out, and begins her new training business.
|
|
"Livi" is an imported 11 year old Hanoverian gelding that is schooled through 3rd level. We look forward to what the future holds for him and we think he is really special!

Tango is a 2004 Half Arabian gelding that stands 16.1hh. Tango is a beautiful horse with brains to boot! He is the ultimate amateur horse, with a ton of personality. Already a winner in the ring, Tango and his owner Tara Lovre are looking forward to a fabulous and relaxing 2010 show season, and are hoping to qualify and show at Sport Horse Nationals.

Annie is a 2007 Half Arabian Palomino mare. Just getting her start in the show ring, we have big plans for this girl! Look for her to make her debut in Sport Horse Under Saddle Junior horse and Training Level Dressage. Proudly owned by Jodie Trueblood.

Now offered for sale, Zephyr will be shown until sold. |
