July 10-12, Champagne Classic

This was a busy show for my clients and I. I rode three horses and Carrie brought Mr. Rolo. All the horses
were great and Intrepid was the only one that was heard bound, what a stinker! Treppy received a 63.6% and
62.7% at Grand Prix. He tried to race through the Piaffe/Passage tour so we schooled the half halts and I was
happy with the result. Sometimes Treppy thinks he is the boss, but I have to remind him that he must know
what he is supposed to do before he decided to take charge! Gotta love him!

My young horse, Pirouette, known as Peepers, was wonderful for this being his second time out in the show
ring. I catch rode him for owner and sponsor, Krista Melby in 2007. He scored a 75%  then and I was so
excited. Well, he kept his average up above a 74% at the whole show. He showed training level (75%)the first
day to get him acclimated to the show ring again and showed him first level (74.6%)on Sunday. He won both
of his classes, the training level by over 9%. I love him and he is such a steady Eddie that wants to work,
everyday!

My little boyfriend, Quickie, was also a good boy. This was his second time out in the Open Dressage Circuit,
and he stayed in the top two placings at 2nd and 3rd level. He gained some fans and more importantly,
gained some respect towards the Arabian breed.

Rolo and Carrie were in the mid 60% all weekend and maintained in the top five placings, not bad when
competing against those warmblood beasts! Way to go guys, I am so proud!
June 20, Roxanne Clinic

This was a wonderful day for my barn, RDC! I have been a resident trainer there since May of this year. They
are just great there. We hope to have a website for it very soon. A lot of renovations went on before I moved
in and I thank Rosie and barn manager Tracey for that! New footing is in the works at the end of the show
season, we cant wait! I thank all the boarders and staff  for accommodating me on this special day. Roxanne
and I have worked together to finished Intrepid into a Grand Prix horse. I love to go to her barn, Trilogy
Farms in Monroe, WA; but it is great to have her come to us, too! I rode Intrepid and my young horse,
Pirouette in the clinic and had very helpful rides. Also riding was Rosie aboard her two imported FEI ponies,
Costa and Cindy. Krista Melby rode her FEI gelding Grommit, Carrie rode Rolo, Jenn Harris rode her
beautiful mare, Gold Digger, and Hillary Kissick brought down her wonderful Henry for a lesson!

All went smoothly and we learned a lot. Lunch was served and we had a good auditor turnout! Cant wait for
next time!
June 12-14, Beaujolais

This was my first show for 2009 in the Open Dressage circuit and I must admit, it felt nice to ride my own
horse through another Grand Prix. Intrepid has become a true competitor, I believe that we are figuring this
whole  Grand Prix thing out. I am racing  against time since he is 19, but he feels great! He won the FEI open
horse through another Grand Prix. Intrepid has become a true competitor, I believe that we are figuring this

whole  Grand Prix thing out. I am racing  against time since he is 19, but he feels great! He won the FEI open

reformed him into a Dressage conni sure! He is riding a very special horse, Roulette, known as Rudy to those
reformed him into a Dressage conni sure! He is riding a very special horse, Roulette, known as Rudy to those
that know and love him. He has been in the Anderson family for over twelve years and I pulled him out of the
pasture to put him back to low levels of work. Rudy is 23 and was a  "successful" Equitation and hunter with
my sister, Megann. He is sound and is great to have around the barn for a lesson horse and great for the
"first time" horse show nerves, because he has done it all. Cameron and Rudy ended up with two scores of
64% and placed third and fourth in the class. I was so proud of them both, go Rudy!
May 28-30, Region 5 Championships

Well, this show was perfect for Quickie! He was the man! He won the 2nd level Champ. with a 70% and the
3rd level Champ. with a 68% (with 15 8's). I must admit that he missed both changes in that test, I will let it
slide this once. He was also Champion Sport Horse Under Saddle Open, Stallions In-Hand Open and ATH.  He
was Reserve Champ in Show Hack Open. Not bad  to end the show with
five championship titles and one
reserve.

I am also so proud to announce that I have the infamous ROL Gold Meal in my barn! Rolo, as we kindly call
him, is Carrie Olson's wonderful 18 year old Arabain gelding. He is a 8 time National Champion and is a little
power horse! I was worried all weekend of warming him up to long with Carrie, but he fooled me going into
Carrie's 2nd level ride when he proceeded to play through the first part of his test, oh Rolo! He still received a
Top 5 in this class but redeemed himself by receiving a 68% at 1st level and captured the Reserve Champ. 1st
level Adult Am. He also received Reserve Champ. 1st level Open with me aboard. This horse is so special and
throughout his career has won his National titles in Western, Hunter, and Trail! I love having him around and
Carrie, you are pretty amazing, too!
May 7-10,Cascade Arabian Show

The rumor is true and I put it to rest.  I have been known to ride a few rail classes with my little stud muffin,
Quickie. I must admit, I try to keep this quiet amongst my fellow Dressage Queens but I think it is a good
break from the white fenced Dressage arena! I ride a wonderful steed so riding these classes makes life in the
"rail" classes, not so bad. They judge the horses on there way of going for the ideal "Sport Horse". It is very
similar to our Material classes, but these judges are not as forgiving to mistakes, sloppy transitions, wrong
leads, or fussy horses. Quickie has a few years into this, as he started this as a green three year old. With me
aboard, we lead the blind through the blind and did just fine! But, this show was one to remember......Quickie
won all six entered classes, including Dressage at 2nd and 3rd level. He also won Stallions In Hand, Sport
Horse Under Saddle Open and ATR (a crazy class better known as the "I Survived" class with 20 horses, two
people getting dumped & a full moon)! He ended his night of winnings at Show Hack, which is a class judged
on horses working collected and extended gaits and the crowd favorite, the hand gallop (Ahhh!). It was a lot
of fun and I thank you all my clients coming out to watch and support Team QSB!
March 28-29, Conrad Schumacher Symposium

This spring I had a lot of fun riding in the Conrad Clinic, but what was even better was being selected to ride
in his National Symposium. Conrad usually does his Symposium's on the east coast, but this year we were
lucky enough to have right here in our neighborhood! I have been riding with Conrad since the age fourteen,
which he says is the youngest American rider that he has coached,  which means I have been coached by him
for over thirteen years. I was selected to ride in the symposium on Intrepid and my littlest boyfriend, Quickie!

Intrepid and I were lucky enough to be selected as the "finished seat" horse and rider combination. We
showed the audience  the three basic gaits and worked from these gaits to finish the presentation in collected
and extended gaits. He explained to the audience that it takes years to train a Grand Prix horse and it takes a
lot of skill to make it look easy! Intrepid and I were also selected as the Grand Prix horse and rider
combination. We executed all of the Grand Prix movements, which was great to do before the show season
started! He was of course a good boy and a show-off indeed!

Quickie and I were the 2nd level horse and rider combination. We demonstrated good basics and since
Quickie is schooling the 3rd and 4th level movements, this level was not so much a challenge. Conrad showed
the auditors how each level sets the horse up for the next, and so we demonstrated some higher level
movements that Qickums is extra talented at, the extended trot and pirouettes! Quickie was the only stallion,
the only non-warmblood, and the first Arabian ever to be selected for a Schumacher Symposium all of which
made  Team QSB very happy!!

July 13-17, Andreas Hausberger Clinic

This clinic was special to me for a few reasons. Andreas is the Chief Riding Instructor at the Spanish Riding
School in Vienna. My Grandmother, Evelyn, was the first American woman to ever be accepted into the
Riding School in the 1950's. My Uncle Ralph was gracious enough to invite me to this clinic...I went two years
ago and had a lot of fun! I was able to bring a few of my horses which was good to have help in hand and with
my riding. Andreas said he see's a lot of potential in Peepers, especially for all the high collection. The next
day I brought Peepers and Cindy, Rosie's Palomino FEI pony. She has a cute piaffe and passage and with
Andreas help, she felt really light and quick to the aids by the end of the ride. The third day I brought Quickie
and Intrepid ( to ride through my G.P. Freestyle before Devonwood). Quickie was so responsive to the in hand
work. As always, he was a little worker. The piaffe and passage is well on its way and is very easy for him! It
feels so great to hear how well trained Andreas' thought Quickie was. He could not believe that I have been
the only one to have broke and trained him. It was a definite pay off for all the hard work! Intrepid was great
but even better when Andrea used the bamboo pole on his front legs while engaging him with the lunge whip
from behind in the passage....that is so impressive , one man doing both these things, effectively! The whole
clinic was great.

Here is Reece and Rosie's miniature horse, Valentino. He is approx. 28 inches tall and is just great with our
little Reece. This was Reece's riding debut, and I could not have had a bigger smile on my face. Whether or
not she will stick to the horses, it is up to her, but at least she will have these life experiences to have for her
own. Oh Reece, we love you!
July 17-19, Dressage at DevonWood

What a wonderful weekend. It was so nice not only to have one horse at the show (Intrepid), but it was
wonderful to watch some of the best horses and trainers in our region showing. I was so privileged to get
second in the Grand Prix on Friday. Intrepid felt settled and very flexible in all the movements, receiving 8's
from Axel Steiner and Anne Gribbons, YAY! I rode my freestyle for the first timeon Saturday and I was
relived that it went pretty smoothly! It was a little rough towards the end, but we pulled through! On Sunday,
the G.P. Special was so fun to ride, especially since I planned on scratching it due to thinking Intrepid would
be tired. Well, he proved to me that he was ready and willing in warm up, so I decided to do it and was so glad
that I did. I do not know when I will have another horse at the G.P. Level, so I am just basking in the delight of
doing it now!
August 7-9,  Region 4

We had a fun group for this show! Quickie, was wonderful and we had a few more to add to the "Arabian"
crew! Jenn Harris took Goldie and Bee, plus Carrie and Rolo! Everyone did awesome...see results on
"schedule" page. It was a great weekend with wonderful company and beautiful horses!
August 1-2, Summervale

We went to this show to support one of my bestest friends, Jenn Williams! She is, in my opinion, one the
prettiest riders around and this show was a fund raiser to help support her in her pursuit to going to the top
and her showing in Cali!

So, Cameron and Rudy came to the show to get a couple more scores under their belt and to top it off, they
received high point JR/YR on Sat. and Sun. Way to go boys, I am so proud!
Whidbey Summer Show

This show has a little bit of  of a story...ugh! I left the week before this show to take Zach to the Hanoverian
Stallion Inspection in Sacramento, Cali. and the Friday before this show, I flew home from it. I needed one
more score for Championships (I had only ridden my F.S. at DevonWood and you need 2 scores to qualify for
Regionals). So, I only needed to show on Saturday at this show to get my last F.S. score.
Cameron, my trusty groom, got Intrepid ready and put him in the horse trailer on Friday evening. My lovely
husband, daughter and two dogs loaded up in our truck and picked up Intrepid and they all drove to the
airport to pick me up from my Cali. excursion. We headed towards Whidbey Island (which is 3 hours away)
from the airport. We arrived at the facility around midnight, pitched a tent and camped out for the night!
Intrepid had been lunged or hacked all the week that I was gone, so you can imagine that he was a little
baffled about this whole experience.
But, we did what we needed to do, which is get another score for Championships.......whew!
September 25-27, Region 6

I am so happy with this weekend. We took Intrepid, Rudy, and Cameron's new horse, Livingston (aka: Livi). I
rode Livi for Cameron and I must admit that I had a lot of fun doing it! Livingston created a lot of "buzz" at
the show due to all his presence and Cameron was so pleased. Rudy stayed a star with placing 4th in the open
show Training Level with 16 horses in it. In the Championship Show, Rudy and Cameron were 8th in the ABIC
and 10th in the Northwest Championship. This was something I was very happy with due to these being the
biggest classes in the horse show!

Intrepid was also very good! He won the Grand Prix Freestyle and got Reserve in the G.P. Northwest and
ABIC. He was so good in the freestyle that the applause lasted for nearly thirty seconds after we were done,
bringing me to tears. It has been a long, emotional road for me and Trep and this show was a testament of
what we are made of. Our chapter is coming to an end, but I am so proud of what we have done together and
most of all, what we have overcome!
October 4-5, Pictures

Hey everyone! We were so lucky to have photographer Rob Hess and his wonderful wife/assistant Pam with
him! We had so much fun and my horses were all like runway models for their photo shoots. We have
another shoot planned for the end of the month and so this means more beautiful pictures. These photos,
were done to help out on some new viewing material for the website and for some advertising!

So, keep checking the site for new pictures and of course, all the new clients that are now a part of Lindsey
Anderson Dressage....enjoy!
October 20-22, Conrad Schumacher Clinic

The Conrad clinic went great, as usual. He always works well with the horses and this was the first time he
had seen Pirouette. Peepers could of been a little more honest in the work, but I was pleased how he went
along with Conrad's program, even though it was different from our day to day work routine. Quickie on the
other hand, thrived from the exercises and I was pleased with how he felt throughout the clinic. Overall, a
great experience. Reece, made her second debut with Valentino at the clinic. We brought the cute couple to
show Conrad on the last day of the Trilogy clinic. Roxanne had a professional photographer there taking pics
for her new website, so they took some photos of Reece and Valentino, I can not wait to see them.
November, Steffen Peters

I am excited to announce that I am going to be spending most of November in sunny California with the best
of the best, Steffen Peters! I called him last month for any "opportunities" and low and behold, he said he
could use my help in the month of November......so with some quick planning, I decided to take Quickie and
Pirouette down to sunny San Diego. I am so lucky to have this opportunity, and am so looking forward to it. I
am designated to warm up his horses in the morning and receive three lessons a week! I cannot wait! Wish
me luck and I will keep everyone informed on my "Lindsey's Blog" page with info & pics! Cheers!
